Rift mobile

Has the mobile app finally seen its last days? I have used this since it was introduced and today every time I try to log in I get the same message;

System alert Error connecting to server!

click ok and it says;

you have not created any characters on this account. go to www.riftgame.com to get rift, and create a character to use this app.

There isn't an update for the app and trying to redownload it doesn't help either.

Funny thing is I have characters on all shards. No my account hasn't been hacked and erased. The app simply isn't working now.
