Greetings folks
I been having problems since I upgraded to windows 10 with incredible low performance..
I have now located the source of my problem: Intel Speedstep (a motherboard/cpu throttling feature), was throttling my cpu.
It was sitting at 1.6-1.9 ghz regardless if rift was running or not. on a 3.4 ghz i7.
I tried for testing purposes to disabling intel speedstep in the bios to see if performance (fps) would increase, and yes it pretty much doubled!
NOTE that disabling intel speed step will cause the cpu to use more power, and temperature of the cpu will be higher as well, however the temperature shouldn't be at any point critical with it disabled (keep an eye on it though).
But the question is, is this a unique case, or a general issue?
