problem recording videos

I've been trying to record warfronts w/ the in-game recorder, but quite frequently the recorder will start encoding on it's own before the recorder time limit is reached

it usually starts encoding on it's own after about one or two minutes, and seems random (today I was able to successfully record 9 minutes)

is this some sort of bug, or is there some issue on my end?
