Hotspot and download bandwidth

Are there alternate ways to get my game updated rather than through the installer?

Being as I'm on a hotspot connection for the next year or so, huge data d/l for some of RIFT's patches just can't get accomplished w/o blowing the data plan up. Maybe one big update would be ok, but seems Trion puts out several multi-GB patches within a relatively short time period.

I did talk with a chat rep and he said only the installer is used for d/l and updating right now. Suggested I talk with the forum to see if anyone has a good work-around.

Otherwise, I'll need to leave the game for awhile, at the least.
