The number one thing: Can you reproduce it? Can you describe in detail how you reproduce it so that anyone can? Can you do so with near 80%+ success rate. If the answer to the first two is 'yes' it makes it an order of magnitude easier to fix. No "Play in any warfront for 5 minutes" is not "describing in detail". I also like knowing the context of a bug: Were you in a crafting rift? A raid? Fishing? If it was a crash: did you submit a crash dump? When: try to include the exact(ish) time it happened: Knowing it happened around 5:12 is much more helpful than 'around 5'. Even if it was actually 5:16 or so. How impactful is it? Is it minor, major, or preventing you from playing? Please avoid hyperbole here. When did you first start experiencing the problem? If it started right after a patch, there's probably something to it. If it happened on a Tuesday, it might just be a fluke (might not be, post anyway
) Don't be afraid to PM me if the bug is severe or seems to be far reaching: I don't bite. I may or may not respond, but there's a lot more players than devs and while I try to keep up on the forums I can't keep an eye on it all the time and can miss things. PM'ing a link rather than details is fine.

- Be specific - If it's FPS make a thread about FPS
- Add details: When, where, why, how, and what is happening. More info the better.
- Avoid talking about other bugs in the same thread. That can send engineers off on wild goose chases
- Avoid making assumptions - there is a flickering bug that occurs for some folks using SLI, this is not the same as other flickering bugs.
- Try and think if there were other changes in your system that might have contributed to the issue. If you changed graphics drivers, or your system did it for you without explicitly notifying you, this is an important detail. It might be the cause, it might not.
- If there are logs or screenshots please post them.
I'll bug our engineers to post if they have anything else they'd like to see.
