Returning player with some questions

Welcome back! For content alone, you don't need to buy anything. The entire game is playable F2P. What the packs do is unlock the various paywalls. Storm Souls unlock the 4 Storm Legion souls, it may be a good buy down the road. Dream Souls unlock 4 souls that allow all classes to do everything (warriors can heal, etc), more for fun, not mandatory. Typhoon Edition unlocks earring slots, a bag slot, and allows you to wear planewalker water gear (not an issue until lvl 60), your call, you'll find earrings all over the place. Primalist edition unlocks the primalist class, read up on the class and if it piques your interest then go for it.

And one thing to keep in mind: everything is grindable in-game, either with plat to REX to credits, or in the case of earring slots, with voidstones. There's really no reason to buy immediately. Get your Rift legs back first, then you'll know which pack you'll need.
