I'm new to Rift, but not to MMOs or raiding. I was a long-time top 25 US WoW raider, but after a few friends quit and a guild collapsed, plus a lot of things I didn't like about WoW, I decided it was time to make a change!
What I'm looking for is a place to get started in Rift raiding. Ideally, I'd start in a farm run where I can show I can execute, get some gear, and eventually move into a core roster slot.
It would be nice to get some help gearing up in general - I hit 65 last night, and am about 1 or 2 slots from being in NTEs.
I am playing a Cleric. I prefer to stay in a DPS role, preferably ranged (although it looks like you can change ranged/melee without doing too much gear-wise?) but am also looking into the Support role as well. I'm comfortable healing in a raid environment as well, but am not particularly interested in doing it full-time. I am not really the tanking type, but can/will do it in a pinch or on an alt to keep in reserve.
My availability is pretty open(ah, bachelor life), with the exception of Tuesday and Thursday nights. At a later time, this can be changed, but that would be for a more competitive raiding environment than I can justify pushing for now.
Of course, my claimed raiding history can be verified if it comes to that.
